New Delhi, Sep 24 (KNO): Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP), Sambit Patra on Wednesday said the violent protests in Leh, which left four persons dead and 50 injured, were not spontaneous youth-led demonstrations but instigated by the Congress party.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Patra, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, “Today, in Ladakh, attempts were made to portray some protests as being led by Gen Z. However, when investigated, it was discovered that these protests were not led by Gen Z, but by Congress.”
He named Congress Councillor Stanzing Tsepang, who represents the Upper Leh ward, as the main instigator. According to Patra, photos and videos show the councillor and his workers provoking violence and marching towards the BJP office with a weapon in hand. “He is instigating the mob and targeting the BJP office,” Patra said, adding that the BJP had posted related visuals.
Patra also linked Tsepang to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, citing photographs of the two together. He accused Congress of having “nefarious designs” and claimed that the party’s slogan was “Bharat tere tukde honge Inshallah.” He said, “This is Rahul Gandhi’s plan with George Soros, since they cannot win through the people, so they are working to break the country.”
He further alleged that Rahul Gandhi was instigating unrest similar to situations seen in Bangladesh, Nepal and the Philippines. “What kind of leadership is this for the Congress,” Patra asked.
The BJP MP said citizens could see the difference between those who incite violence and the work being done by the government. “The people know what their PM is doing for them. Even the biggest leaders acknowledge India’s strength. We are growing at a rate of 7.8 percent,” he said.
Patra said that those trying to divide the country would face a response from the people themselves—(KNO)
